"We had a fantastic experience today. The head conductor (I can't recall his name but he was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife whom he had been married to for 50+ years) was an absolute treasure who made our journey even more pleasurable - the world is a better place because of people like him. "It really is a totally unique experience! To be able to ride a wonderfully restored steam train through the countryside, AND be able to dangle my feet over the side, is quite amazing! I felt like a kid again, and the whole team at the railway need to be congratulated for being such a happy and helpful bunch! It was like going back in time, as even the locals would wave at the train as it went by. I so look forward to making the visit again. THANK YOU Puffing Billy!"
