Commissioners' Inspection Train

In days gone by, our State railway system was known as the Victorian Railways, and was run by a group of men known as the Commissioners. From time to time these Commissioners, together with the other top brass, would inspect their empire by special train comprised of luxury carriages known as the Commissioners Inspection Train.
The day consists of:
Guided tours from 8.30am of Belgrave Loco servicing area and
Locomotive Workshop.
Guided tour of Emerald Carriage Workshop and
Locomotive Shed.
Morning and Afternoon tea served on the train.
2 Course Lunch at the Ranges Hotel, Gembrook
Beverages are available for purchase on the train and at the Ranges Hotel.
Your special train will be hauled by Diesel Locomotive DH59 from Belgrave to Menzies Creek and NA Steam Locomotive from Menzies Creek to Gembrook and return to Belgrave.

In the event of a Total Fire Ban being declared in the Central Zone for the State of Victoria, the Commissioner's Inspection Train will not run. The Railway reserves the right to alter or cancel advertised trains.
