PBPS Member Graeme Jones took this delightful photo of Lakeside, taken on 25 February 1951 - when Puffing Billy car-goods trains were still running through to Gembrook every Monday and Thursday, and excursion trains ran on public holidays.   The facilities were a far cry from the present Lakeside complex - John Thompson's photo below was taken in March '99.  The traces of the old platform have disappeared since the tank stands were built on the Up end in 1961.
